Sir Francis Drake Workshop

In 1588 a huge Spanish Armada of 130 ships sailed up the English Channel with the intent of invading England. Meanwhile Sir Francis Drake played his game of bowls on Plymouth Hoe. When word spread of the approaching armada Drake is reported to have said; "That there would be time enough to finish the game and defeat the Spanish". Find out about this famous Privateer one of many from the county of Devon.
